The conference theme includes current issues at the heart of cardiovascular practice - workforce, resilience, sustainability and multi-disciplinary working.

The British Cardiovascular Society Annual Conference is the UK’s leading and largest cardiovascular event. It attracts over 2,500 cardiovascular healthcare professionals, predominantly cardiologists, but also including basic and translational scientists, nurses, cardiac physiologists and scientists, and primary care staff. In 2023 our flagship event once again returns to the Manchester Central venue for a face to face conference.

The event, organised with support from the British Heart Foundation, attracts high profile speakers from the UK and overseas including the leadership of both the European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology. The wide-ranging programme provides education across the cardiology curriculum to fulfil the needs of trainees and the revalidation requirements of consultants.

The largest cardiology meeting in the UK maintains its popular three day format, including the BCS Education Zone, offering tailored, one-to-one, hands-on simulator and imaging training. The ever popular Hot Topics and interactive Life Long Learning sessions provide bite-size updates on current issues in CV medicine.

Add-on courses for 2023 include Introduction to Nuclear Cardiology, CLEMS (Cardiac Laboratory Emergency Medical Simulation (x3), the 'Cath Lab ready' cardiology Simulator Training Course for Cardiology Trainees, and the CTCA - Level 1 Course.
