Professor Jung Mi-hyang of the Department of Cardiology at the Catholic University of Korea St. Mary's Hospital was recently appointed associate editor of the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.


The European Journal of Preventive Cardiology (IF:8.526), the official journal of the European Society of Cardiology, is a prestigious international journal in cardiovascular medicine.


As its associate editor, Professor Jung will play a pivotal role in the development and status of the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology by reviewing and deciding on the publication of research articles submitted to the journal. Her first term will run from April 2024 to March 2025.


"The European Journal of Preventive Cardiology is the official journal of the European Society of Cardiology. I am honored to be the first Asian to join its editorial board," Professor Jung said. “I will strive to ensure that the review process is an opportunity for outstanding researchers from Korea and Asia to participate and be recognized.


Professor Jung is a board member of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, the Korean Society of Echocardiography, the Korean Society of Heart Failure, and the Korean Society of Hypertension. She has been awarded the Clinical Researcher Award of the Society of Hypertension, the Best E-Poster Award, the Young Investigator Award of the Asia-Pacific International Conference on Cardiometabolic Syndrome, and the Achievement Award of the Korean Society of Hypertension's international journal, Clinical Hypertension.
