• Luis Miguel Seijo Maceiras

    Luis is a clinical practitioner and researcher with extensive experience in respiratory endoscopy and lung cancer. He obtained his B.A. from Columbia College in 1990 and MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1995, followed by a PhD from the Universidad de Navarra in 2015. Trained in pulmonary medicine, critical care and internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Currently active in various research projects including EBUS, lung cancer screening with low dose CT, epigenetics, metabolomics, and molecular analysis of lung cancer, biomarkers in COPD and lung cancer, and principal investigator in two clinical studies linking sleep disordered breathing and lung cancer. Also interested in radiomics applied to lung cancer and emphysema. Coordinator of the CIBERES lung cancer strategy for 2016-2018 in Spain.
