  Derek Alderson

  With his main clinical interest in oesophago-gastric cancer surgery, Prof Alderson is Emeritus Professor of Surgery at the University of Birmingham. He held leadership positions at a number of organisations (including the RCS), was Editor-in-Chief of BJS and now heads BJS Open.
