• Vicent Moncho Mas

    Holding a degree in Mathematics and Computer Engineering and Master Degree on Information and Knowledge Society, Vicent is currently the Chief Information Officer of Hospital de Dénia, a member of the steering committee of Marina Salud S.A. and associate professor consultant at the UOC (Open University of Catalonia). His challenge is to change the medical culture that can adapt easier and faster to the possibilities offered by new technologies. After 9 years of working in different responsibilities in the health IT sector, in 2006, he joined the Marina Salud project within the implementation of the new hospital in Dénia with the aim of creating a pioneer hospital in technology, in organisational models and information systems. The hospital opened in February 2009 with the real real paperless environment. National organisations recognised the project with several awards and in 2011. Marina Salud achieved the HIMSS EMRAM stage 6 and one year after, the stage 7, being the first in Spain and second in Europe with this award. In 2015, Marina Salud was the first hospital outside the U.S. granted HIMSS Davis Award and received the Oracle Healthcare Innovation Customer Award.
