Company Profile About Us Since 1923, TENTE Castors has been working in Bergische Land to improve an invention, which has moved man for five thousand years: The wheel. Bergische Land is a rather rural industrial landscape on the southern edge of the Ruhr area and has a long industrial history: Around 60,000 years ago, the Neanderthal man lived here, this is where the famous Solingen blades are made, this is where the Wuppertal suspension railway can be found, and it is here that the highest railway bridge in Europe was built – the Müngstener Bridge. Tente lies a few kilometres from this masterpiece of Bergische Land engineering. The history of the firm TENTE- ROLLEN began in 1923 with the sale of ball castors and wheels for sliding cupboard doors in this district of the town of Wermelskirchen. Eleven years later, the firm started producing its own castors. What used to be more like a manufacturer has now developed into a worldwide operating company. TENTE has gained a leading position in the world’s markets with its innovative ideas, perfected products and high quality. This success is backed up by know how that has developed over decades and which TENTE uses to solve problems. Experienced designers and engineers create innovative products, which are produced in-house with self-developed production techniques. This philosophy guarantees the quality, which is a byword in the trade and makes TENTE castors the first choice. Customers in over 100 countries treasure their robustness, reliability, durability and functional design.
