Optimal Ltd / BlueDrape BlueDrape , the Emerging Quality Brand name for Surgical Drapes, Gowns and Packs Since 2007, Optimal has been manufacturing disposable sterile surgical drapes, gowns, accessories and packs according to the requirements of 93/42/EEC Medical Device Directive and in accordance with ISO 13485:2003 standards. The main purpose of the company is to supply locally and worldwide, products manufactured under the BlueDrape brand, providing unrivalled quality, confidence and comfort for both patients and medical personel. What do we aim with the manufacturing of disposable drapes, gowns and packs? Today the use of medical disposable fabrics is about 15% of the domestic market where conventional products are still widely used. This ratio is over 90% in the Europen Union countries. In order to meet the progressive local demand and to overcome the increasing deficit of supply, as of 2007 Optimal has started to produce disposable sterile surgical drapes, gowns, accessories and packs according to the requirements of 93/42/EEC Medical Device Directive and in accordance with ISO 13485:2003 standards in the Turkish market under the registered trade mark BlueDrape . Our major aim for the near future is to quickly complete the automation process in production in order to expand our customer portfolio with the addition of international companies, profiting from our advantage of location, ability to supply the demands in a very short period in the required standards. We currently supply our partners in South Africa, Middle East, and Europe and in the short-term we intend to increase our market share in those areas. Additional countries all over Europe, the neighboring Middle Eastern, Caucasus countries and Turkish Republics of Ex-USSR are our target markets in the long run. We do not limit ourselves with the above regions, we also have plans for overseas. The company’s distinguished competitive power in the sector against Far Eastern suppliers is mainly due to: • its ability to produce according to world standards, • its convenient location which allows low freight costs, affecting favorably the purchasing process, providing a convenience in the order quantities and thus reducing unit costs, • its geographical position, allowing immediate action in processing orders, no delays in communications with European, South African and Middle Eastern customers, and the possibility of reaching solutions or alternatives on time, • Sustainability of product and manufacturing process quality at all times. Who are we? Founded in 1998 in Istanbul, Optimal started its activities in the Medical sector as an importer and distributor of ophthalmic devices and instruments representing distinguished European and American manufacturers. Within its first decade of operation, Optimal has decided to expand and diversify its activity fields to become additionally a major manufacturer of disposable sterile surgical drapes, gowns, accessories and packs in the Turkish market. As a result of this strategic decision, the 2008 economic crisis was not as devastating as it was to other ophthalmic sector companies in Turkey. Having mastered a good know-how about all kinds of ophthalmic products, Optimal has always tried to satisfy all kinds of demands from its customers both in Turkey and abroad.
