Avalign was founded October 2005 through the purchase of Instrumed International, a German Instrument manufacturer, by RoundTable Healthcare Partners. RoundTable co-founder, Joe Damico and current Avalign CEO, Forrest Whittaker, evaluated the future contract manufacturing needs of the orthopaedic market place.Advantis Medical, a sterilization case and tray manufacturer, was purchased in January, 2007 to offer world class custom sterilization cases and trays to orthopaedic OEM's. Later that year in August, Nemcomed was purchased to offer instrument and implant manufacturing capabilities to our current customer base. In May, 2009, Avalign made their last acquisition, NG Instruments. NG Instruments specializes in manufacturing drills, taps, and reamers.
