MIP was founded as Med-I-Pant in 1977 by Montreal businessman, Jerry Friedman.Friedman was one of the first to recognize the need for a reusable brief for incontinent adults. He and business partner, David Schreiner, brought both a vision and an understanding of customer needs to the healthcare industry.MIP grew rapidly, both in product offerings and geographic markets. Within two years, MIP grew from a basement plant with four employees to selling overseas and throughout North America.
