The COVID-19 global pandemic has impacted our world in a way that has not been seen in most of our lifetimes. Right now, we, at Getinge are doing our utmost to support the courageous clinicians in their fight in caring for patients and overcoming the pandemic. Getinge delivered the first of several planned educational webinars, featuring KOLs, related to COVID-19 that share first-hand experience, new findings and their clinical approaches with a goal to combat and win against this outbreak. Our Getinge international webinar "COVID-19 case presentation: Ventilatory management and hemodynamic monitoring" took place on May 22nd. Our speaker was Dr. Carlos Ferrando, MD, PhD, DESA Head of Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Clinic University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain.

Getinge is proud to be the main sponsor of the EuroELSO virtual ECMO day held on June 25th
A number of physicians from the EMEA region presented a comprehensive perspective on their experiences with the utilization of ECMO after the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Getinge actively supported a dedicated symposium to share global feedback on the use of ECMO with some of the major KOLs on the international scene: Alain Combes (France), Haibo Qiu (China), Eddy Fan (Canada).

Prof Malbrain, Director of the Intensive Care Department at the University Hospital in Brussels (UZB)-Belgium, shared his first-hand experiences, new findings and clinical approaches against the Covid-19 outbreak.
