The company, working with the Scottish Enterprise High Growth Unit, relocated to Scotland, UK in 2008 to continue its research in to novel microwave based medical and commercial devices. This research led to the successful SMART award by the Scottish Government in Q3 2008 to research the feasibility of next generation microwave sources.

In Q1 2009, the Company carried out a successful funding campaign, achieving full investment through a private network of high net-worth individuals. The investment allowed the company to advance the development, manufacture and launch of innovative medical treatments (through Swift) and OEM systems (through emblation microwave) used in industrial, scientific and medical fields.

Emblation moved to new premises in 2008 with further expansion during 2009, allowing the development and management teams to work more closely together.

In Q1 2010 the Company was granted a SMART Research and Development award by the Scottish Government to further develop and assist in the commercialization of their innovative microwave based devices.
