Beyond Barriers was founded in 1992 in response to the personal and professional experiences of Blair and Nancy Ferguson. During Blair's 20-year career as a paramedic and Nancy's career as a hospital manager, they saw firsthand the many unique challenges encountered by people living with disabilities, limited mobility and illnesses such as MS, ALS and Muscular Dystrophy. Together, they decided to start a business that would focus on easing this burden for both the client and the caregivers.

Located in Forest Lake, Minnesota, Beyond Barriers has a dedicated team skilled in home evaluation and assessment as well as the installation and service of specialized accessibility equipment. Beyond Barriers has grown by combining innovative equipment and top-notch services with unrivaled site assessment and project design expertise.
