About us Founded in 1991 Assut Europe S.p.A. is the only Italian producer of high quality surgical sutures for different applications. Step by step, we expanded our own operating strategies gaining market shares into home and international markets by exporting high quality technology products. Since then, we continued our growth and started to broaden our efforts in developing new projects whose main focus - synthetic absorbable sutures, ophthalmic and cardiovascular sutures - have been successfully achieved thanks to state-of-the-art technology and to the acquisition of more and more advanced "Know-How". In August 1998, our production unit was moved to a new plant in Magliano dei Marsi (Aq) – Zona Industriale, where all products have been awarded the CE mark. In April 2001 the company received ISO 9001/UNI CEI EN 46001 certification and FDA Approval for the manufacturing plant. The new plant has a production area of more than 4,500 square metres, which include a clean room, sterilization centre, modern structures and equipment for manufacturing synthetic absorbable sutures. We steadily continued our growth during these years, and today in addition to export from Italy in almost the whole world, we have our own branches in France, Spain, UK, USA and Latin America. Sales, Customer Service and Technical Assistance are guaranteed by the Team of Product Specialists, Area Managers and Sales Managers, covering different territories and providing qualified support to surgeons, nurses and operating room assistants.
