In 1987, Alfa began its complete restoration of the Pelton & Crane OCM and OCR sterilizers. One of the most noteworthy improvements Alfa made to this product is the automatic shut off and vent mechanism.

This simple modification to the Pelton and Crane OCM and OCR models, was acceptable so well, that this improvement without a doubt was the reason for Alfa growth, and recognition in the Dental, Medical, and Veterinarian markets. Everybody had a Pelton and Crane, and failing mainly from chambers cracking up because of no automatic shut off and venting mechanism.
