Advanced Cooling Therapy - Esophageal Cooling Device The Esophageal Cooling Device (ECD )by Advanced Cooling Therapy is a unique single patient use temperature modulation device.The ECD is simply attached to commercially available chiller machines that are accessible in most hospitals.The ECD is a fully enclosed triple lumen system that is inserted into the esophagus as quickly as an oral gastric tube .Two lumens attach to the chiller machine, while the central independent third lumen is attached to the hospital's suction canister.
