The VNS Therapy bipolar electric lead is specifically designed for the transmission of stimulation from the VNS Therapy generator to the left vagus nerve in the neck. Stimulation is transmitted through a pin that is connected to the generator that then connects to the helices where electrodes are attached. The VNS therapy leads come in two sizes according to the inner diameter of the helices: 2.0 mm and 3.0 mm.
