Spirometer NV1 GM Instruments

Spirometer NV1 GM Instruments

The NV1 Rhinospirometer has been developed to measure the partitioning of airflow between the two nasal passages. The patient breathes through two nasal adapters and the volume of air breathed from each side of the nose is measured over several breaths. A nasal partitioning ratio (NPR) can be easily calculated from the nasal volumes. Measurement of NPR allows an objective measurement of the severity of nasal septal deviation and is also useful for studies on the nasal cycle and rhinitis. Appropriate software and PC connection can also be provided. Key Benefits Easily transportable, robust system Aids selection of patients for Septoplasty Stand alone or PC based system now available Can be interfaced through a USB PC connection Software for Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7 is available Rapid test which requires minimal patient co-operation Allows documented confirmation of the success of procedure Anatomical or conical nose pieces for rapid airtight connection
