A series of planar processes like imaging of the sentinel node, multigated cardiac, parathyroid and thyroid gland is assisted by the Solo Mobile. The gantry and detector configuration, which features adjustment, fits the imaging processes with patients who are either standing or sitting in front of the camera and also those lying down on gurney or hospital stretchers. The device is characterized by movement within the department of nuclear medicine, either in rooms of patients or within hospital corridors for bedside imaging. When the in-built battery pack is completely charged, it can carry out imaging of patients for an hour. One can plug the equipment into any fixed wall outlet in case of any requirement of extra imaging time. The user-interface of the device is graphical, intuitive and laptop PC-based. This accounts for both image processing as well as acquisition. Two essential components of the acquisition functionality are energy spectrum display and scope of persistence.
