The NIOV System is uniquely designed to provide volume support and pressure that significantly increases tidal volume and considerably improves ventilation. Patients with moderate to severe respiratory insufficiency who are oxygen dependent and/or need added ventilation, and who are capable of spontaneously breathing a minimum tidal volume of 3.5cc/kg of predicted body weight, may benefit from using NIOV for early ambulation in the hospital and long term mobility in the home.
