AlphaCore has features of the alphacore therapy. The alphaCore therapy is a vagus nerve stimulator indicated for the treatment or prevention of symptoms of reactive breath passage disease including asthma, COPD, and exercise induced bronchospasm. Features of the alphaCore therapy are neuromodulation, non-invasive, non-pharmacological, easy to use and portable. The treatment lasts for 90 seconds. The stimulation intensity is controlled by the operator. To treat bronchoconstriction, alphaCore deviceis placed on the patients neck and lined up with the carotid artery. AlphaCore is a hand held, portable device that produces a proprietary electrical signal that stimulates the vagus nerve.
