It is used to anaesthetize the cervix locally before regional treatments or minor surgery. The device length of 19 cm allows an easy access to the paracervical area; a female luer lock connector placed on the proximal end of the device allows syringe fitting for anaesthetic injection and the tiny inner diameter of the needle avoids any anaesthetic dispersion. The accurate sharpening and unique thinness of the needle allow low-pain anaesthesia.
