The Merci® Balloon Guide Catheter aims to improve the clinical outcome of thrombectomy procedures. The compliant silicone balloon with its soft and atraumatic design acts as a guiding catheter that is specially designed to arrest the flow occlusion and help prevent distal embolization. There are twin lumen shafts in the catheter and while one offers balloon inflation, the other allows access to the neuro vasculature.
