The MK1 Manual Keratometer provides clear and consistent lighting with LED bulbs. It gives an accurate measurement of corneal curvatures and allows a subjective review of the corneal surface. It measures the concave surfaces to facilitate the fitting of contact lenses with no need for a patient response or judgement. Once the major axis is located, the minor and major meridians can be measured. The device can be elevated or lowered easily for fast patient positioning and it includes a dual eye level sighting for vertical measurement. For maximum convenience, and covering both corneal and contact lens measurement, the dial readings are displayed in millimeters as well as diopters.
