The neoBLUE cozy system is positioned underneath the baby to deliver phototherapy via a blue LED light source. The neoBLUE cozy system meets AAP guidelines for intensive phototherapy: It delivers intensive phototherapy for thousands of hours: > 30? W/cm2/nm. It is the most effective degradation of Bilirubin. It emits blue light in the 450 - 470 nm spectrums, matching the peak absorption wavelength (458 nm) at which bilirubin breaks down. It exposes full length of the baby from head to toe and delivers phototherapy over a larger area than standard phototherapy blankets or pads. neoBLUE LEDs are safe and they do not emit light in the ultraviolet (UV) range or the infrared radiation (IR) range, thereby reducing the potential risk of skin damage and/or fluid loss. The device automatically shuts off in an event of elevated surface.
