The objective of a cleanroom door in a cleanroom area is to prevent unnecessary air infiltration and minimise the spread of airborne particles. Albany RR300 Clean is custom built for cleanroom applications found in pharmaceutical, electronics and semiconductor, research and aerospace industries. The door complies with international standards in line with DIN EN ISO 14644-1 and the Fraunhofer Institute has confirmed its suitability for use in cleanrooms. The door was certified in compliance tests for ISO Class 5 and GMP Class C. Albany RR300 Clean provides high airtightness, which keeps the pressure drop at a minimum when the door is closed. The door is manufactured in stainless steel (V2A) with smooth surfaces that are easy to clean. Door design The entire door (side frame, motor and roll cover, and bottom profile) is made from stainless steel. The smooth surface facilitates easy cleaning and avoids the accumulation of particle deposits. Narrow side columns / minimal gap The dimensions of the door‘s side columns are kept to a minimum and allow the door to be installed in confined areas. The extremely small gap of the door curtain guide ensures minimal pressure loss. Cable guide sealing To prevent pressure losses, the cable guide is integrated and access openings inside the door are sealed. Door curtain The door curtain consists of PVC with white fabric reinforcement strips. Fabric reinforcement strips in a wide variety of RAL colors are available as option.
