Nowadays, quantified motion analysis is a recognized activity in clinical, ergonomic and sports applications. Among the different body segments, the foot is one of the most complex to analyze with its high number of bones, joints and ligaments. Motion analysis systems with skin markers coupled with force platforms are the most commonly used. Ideally, these systems should be « non-invasive, generate nearly instantaneous feedback to the clinician and subject, be mobile, easy to use and relatively inexpensive ». Regarding the last points, current systems are limited. The MINILAB developed by Lion Systems, the German Sport University Cologne and INESCOP is a new measurement tool which overcomes these limitations.
