The Impulse Ankle restricts the amount of dorsiflexion to allow more loading response from the foot. At heel strike, the ankle allows the foot to plantarflex so the amputee may reach foot-flat quickly. As the amputee reaches mid-stance, the ankle’s motion is significantly reduced and allows the amputee to retain the full functionality of the toes and metatarsal area of the prosthetic foot. The ankle also features inversion/eversion and axial rotation. The Impulse Ankle’s sleek profile facilitates adjustments and cosmetic finishing. A titanium pyramid is integrated into the proximal attachment surface of the ankle. No maintenance procedures or replacement parts are required. A rubber-molding technology provides a smooth, cushioned step. Available in six different stiffness options.
