Spencer 190 is an innovative pulmonary ventilator that features a one-stroke cycle. It is also limited to pressure and is micro-processor controlled. The ventilator ensures flowing pressure and respiratory frequency. There is constant fraction of inspired oxygen, which is different from insufflation pressure. Ventilation comes in three different modes: controlled, assisted, and assisted/controlled (ABS). The entire respiratory process is monitored. Upon the insertion of ABS, the luminous wave form permits easy synchronization of the device with the patient. The patient's safety is guaranteed through monitoring systems and alarms of power and airway pressure as well as apnea. The device can be used safely even by people who are not trained as its simple parameters are easy to control and regulate. Also, it is integrated with security devices, both audio and visual.
