This innovative telemedicine solution for diabetic patients taking insulin therapy is composed of three elements: A smartphone app (iPhone or Android) to help patients manage their insulin treatment: determines the right dose of insulin by analyzing ongoing treatments, glycemic index goals, previous days results, and personal variables An online portal for doctors: improves patient care by giving doctors ready access to tracking data (including statistical indicators and graphs) so they can adapt goals and configure notifications to better identify anomalies And a telecare platform to enable nurses specializing in diabetes telemonitoring to support patients using doctor-approved protocols Diabeo can be completely configured by primary care providers during the initialization process. The software analyzes personal parameters and provides a truly unique solution for each patient, whether he/she is taking functional insulin therapy or following a set dietary care plan, being treated by injections or pump. Voluntis has developed this solution in partnership with CERITD1 and Sanofi as well as a scientific advisory board of more than 15 diabetes specialists, economists and healthcare professionals. The project is based on clinical results showing that the tool significantly improves metabolic control and effectively helps patients manage their care and maintain their desired lifestyle.
