BioMime Sirolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System is an ultra-low (65µm) thickness Cobalt Chromium (L605) DES. Its novel design incorporates an intelligent mix of open and closed cells allowing for Morphology Mediated ExpansionTM resulting in excellent radial strength with a high flexibility and excellent side branch access. BioPoly is the proprietary formulation comprising of biocompatible and biodegradable polymers PLLA and PLGA from Meril with a degradation time of 40-50days. It offers uniformity in stent coating and enables exceptionally low coating thickness of <2µm. It has low drug dose of Sirolimus (1.25 µg/mm2) eluting over 30 days period. The device has demonstrated high safety and efficacy real-world usage and in clinical trials, meriT-1 & meriT-2 involving simple & complex lesions and patients respectively.
