The PI-PACS system developed by Innomed Medical Inc. is made for medical purpose digital image processing. PI-PACS software’s primary function is to collect, store and archive digital images from medical imaging devices (modalities) in an integrated RIS/PACS systems. The system can communicate with almost all kind of DICOM capable products (modalities, other PACS systems) and uses HL7 protocol to connect HIS systems. The system is also able to work as a standalone radiological workstation. The PI-PACS system provides different user interfaces for its functions: Registration page, Navigation page, Diagnose page, Report page. These altogether give a complex station that serves all the hospital needs. The PI-PACS system can be extended with a Chest CAD (Computer Aided Detection) option which detects lung nodules and infiltrated areas.
