The SECULIFE IT BASE is a high precision luxmeter for use in hospitals and medical practices. It reliably measures the illuminance of daylight, as well as all types of artificial light sources, and is ideal for quality assurance: precision in accordance with class C makes it suitable for a broad range of measuring tasks. Testing of Room Classifications per DIN 6868-157 In the wake of the amendment to VDIN6868-57, DIN6868-157 has established directives which stipulate the testing of illuminance in rooms in accordance with room classifications. The SECULIFE IT BASE permits accurate and convenient measurement during the course of testing for diagnostics workstations. Intelligent Correction Functions The silicon sensor included with the SECULIFE IT BASE is color corrected, and its spectral sensitivity is precisely matched to that of the human eye. The instrument thus fulfills all requirements for class C luminance meters. The probes receiving surface is laid out such that obliquely incident light is evaluated as true to cosine. All important types of light can thus be measured very accurately, without having to take correction factors into consideration. Suitable for Any Luminous Intensity Even powerful light, for example daylight and illumination from headlights, can be measured with the SECULIFE IT BASE without any accessories. Thanks to its very high initial sensitivity of 0.01 lux, the instrument is extremely well suited for measuring minimal illumination intensities as well, for example emergency lighting. The highest measurable value is 199,900 lux. The SECULIFE IT BASE is equipped with non-volatile memory for up to 100 measurement results.
