Being the world's smallest and lightest life support system, CARDIOHELP System weighs approximately 10 kg, enabling it to be carried by one person. Its compact design means it can be transported easily by helicopter or other vehicles. The portable heart-lung support system provides ECLS which either supports or replaces a patient's respiration or circulation. With new options for CO2 removal and offering new alternatives for patients requiring veno-venous or veno-arterial ECLS, the CARDIOHELP System has built-in sensors, disposables and unique software. It uses minimal extracorporeal circulation (MECC), and fast initiation and handling can be achieved by way of the intuitive control unit and a plug and play principle.
