The Spencer Spine Splint works for rescue projects to get passengers out from vehicles and to control spinal lesions before additional vertebrae damages can develop. It uses safety belts and a corset that will restrain a patient into the device so the patient can breathe properly. It also has new underarm straps to make it easier for the patient to be lifted upward without risking the patient coming apart. The disposable soft pad feature can also be used to protect the patient. The shoulder board is also designed to keep the chest from being compressed. A semi-rigid body is also used to protect the design of the system to keep the patient relaxed and in check before any further damage could occur.
