The OR Direct module is the software solution through which the configuration of the medical devices and the routing of the information from the devices to the various displays in the OR is controlled. Also room equipment such as surgical lights, room lights, cameras and audio systems can be controlled through OR Direct. The operator interface, which is designed in an App-like structure, serves as the cockpit for the surgical staff. Here the distribution of video and data throughout the OR is controlled and the routing can be be set to accommodate specific procedure related and/or surgeon related requirements. Images and videos from multiple medical devices can be displayed throughout the OR in real-time – with imperceptible latency - and in Broadcast image quality. Configuration and routing is done in a password protected area, where also display layouts such as PiP (picture in picture) and P&P (picture and picture) are set. Sources and targets can be named and assigned corresponding App-symbols. The set-ups can be easily stored as presets.
