The QUART Arterial Filter is designed to effectively eliminate particles and air bubbles. Easy to use, with enhanced visibility, the filter is comprised of pre-filter and post-filter chambers. Priming volume and dead water zones are reduced due to an integrated stand by-pass, meaning there is no need for an additional by-pass line or complicated clamping. This time-saving perfusion system consists of six individual cassettes which are parallel to each other. They contain a guide plate with a filter medium on either side. Blood diffuses through these filters, then through the separate cassettes. Air bubbles are avoided as the plane filter areas are flat, with no folds, supporting nets or pleats.
