Medical Physicist - Provide clinical physics coverage in the Department of Radiation Oncology at MGH with a focus on supporting the brachytherapy service. Participate in commissioning upgrades, repair, perform monthly and annual QA of treatment equipment, and acceptance testing. Participate in clinical troubleshooting, initial and weekly chart checks, treatment planning consultation, and other routine clinical physics responsibilities.Support the Intra-Operative Radiation Therapy program, as well as general medical physics and quality assurance duties. Provide oversight to Radiation Oncology Medical Residents and Medical Physics Residents. Have shared responsibility for all quality assurance and maintenance of a LINAC.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or equivalent in medical physics from a CAMPEP-accredited graduate program in Medical Physics and completion of a two-year residency program in medical physics.

Must be eligible for or possess American Board of Radiology Certification .
