Opportunity

Weekend call coverage - 2 weekends/month available. Friday - Monday, 7am-7am.

Census is roughly 30/month.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an OB/GYN role.
  • Current, valid license to practice medicine in the state of Texas
  • Current DEA certificate.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Locum OB/GYN to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This exciting opportunity involves providing top-tier obstetric and gynecologic care to our diverse patient population. The chosen candidate will have the unique opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of women in our community. This position requires a minimum commitment of 5 years, with the potential for extension or permanent employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including prenatal care, postnatal care, family planning advice, and routine well-woman examinations.
  • Perform minor and major surgical procedures related to the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions related to women's reproductive health, including but not limited to, infertility, menopause, hormonal disorders, cervical and breast cancer.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons, to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality and following all relevant healthcare laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Demonstrated surgical skills in obstetrics and gynecology procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Current, valid license to practice medicine in the state.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
