Introduction:We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Medication Aide to join our team and provide high-quality care to our patients. This position provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse. Assists residents with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort, medication administration (per scope of practice and facility policy), and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for all residents. Responsible for providing care and handling residents in a safe and compassionate manner.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
- Assist with medication management and administration, as directed by a healthcare professional
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate staff member
- Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment
- Other duties as assigned
- Certified Medication Aide certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Medication Aide
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and adhere to medication schedules
- Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility, as needed
