About The Ward 6 South Oncology And Urology,

Ward 6 South is located in the Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre at Austin Health. We are a 32 bed ward with a mixed of both medical and surgical patients. We care for patients who have been diagnosed with cancer who are undertaking anti-cancer treatment or require inpatient care in our service. We offer a ranger for services for our patients including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, supportive care and Wellness services. For our Urology pateints we offer specalised care pre and post operativly and supportive care whilst an inpatient. We offer a variety of support services to our Urology patients during their admission such as outpatient referrals, Prostate care support, Stomal support and education and training for discharge planning. We have a mix of single rooms, 4 bed bays and 2 bed bays.

About The Role,

A regular day will see you:

  • Routine and periodical cleaning
  • Patient movement
  • Restocking of imprest supplied and stock distribution
  • Food services
  • Duties asigned as per patient/ward needs by NIC
  • Adheardance to workplace safety guidelines
