The practitioner is responsible for the pre-operative evaluation of the patient and the operating method used. He must inform his patient of the risks related to the intervention and eventual post-operative complications. The practitioner has to obtain the patient’s informed consent by his signature on the specific document before the intervention. He also has to inform the patient of alternative methods to implantation.
