Convergent Imaging Solutions was founded in 2007. At that time, studies from hybrid scanners could only be read on expensive vendor specific platforms, and the need existed for independent fusion software systems, that would make the reading of PETCT and SPECTCT images an enterprise wide activity. In the same year, Convergent announced a relationship with Intelerad Medical Systems to supply Intelerad with its fusion module for distribution to Intelerad’s customers, and debuted a prototype of the software at the RSNA trade show. Convergent and Intelerad continue to enjoy a fruitful relationship, that has seen Intelerad deploy the Convergent module to its customers worldwide.
