Agenda & Featured Speakers

The proliferation of smartphones and tablets in an enterprise environment has provided acceleration towards apps and cloud based solutions, by the key drivers of reduced CAPEX, greater flexibility and the desire to integrate new devices with the cloud to enhance the mobility of the enterprise. While the enterprise application market is at an early stage, there is a clear understanding that mobile is critical for both employees and consumers. Mobile is often ranked at the top, or close to the top, of the priority list for enterprises, yet what may be less clear is the best app development path.

The Enterprise App Developement Conference is focussed upon the practical process of developing apps for the enterprise. How enterprises should go about developing apps and the opportunity that exists for developers within the enterprise app market.

12: 55Continuous Delivery at GitHub

  • Continuous Delivery (CD) is the practice of building software that is ready to be deployed to production at all times. CD requires a stable, automated build pipeline, with simple, push button deployments, guided by feedback and metrics on the health of the production system. By refining and shortening feedback loops throughout the entire software process, it is possible to continually be delivering high-quality, working software to happy customers. At GitHub, we deploy hundreds of times in the course of an average day. We practice continuous delivery from design, development and ops, through our release processes and into customer support. This talk will cover many of the techniques and tools we use for continuous delivery at GitHub, including pull requests, feature toggles, chat ops and continuous integration and deployment. We will also discuss core principles so you can apply these lessons in your own team, process, and business.

15:00 Creating stunning enterprise apps for both Web and Mobile

There is an increasing amount of pressure put on IT, developers and CIOs to keep up with user demands as the consumerization of technology makes its way into the enterprise. Outside the traditional office environment, users have a great experiences and interactions with apps. As a result, users are demanding sophisticated enterprise apps that not only work on mobile but have the same abilities as the consumer apps they know and love. This session will discuss model-driven mobile application development.

In this session attendees will learn:
