HRCT in Diffuse Lung Diseases

BRI with DMC

The BIR is partnering with DMC Imaging to deliver a series of workstation-based radiology training courses. The courses will cover varied general and specialist imaging topics and will be run by sub-specialist tutors, selected from DMC Imaging’s pool of sub-specialist reporters.

The emphasis of the “hands-on” series is not on didactic lecture-based teaching. Instead, the course is designed to provide delegates with “hands-on” experience of reviewing cases with experts in the field.

General Info

The number of places will be limited so that delegates can experience a more personalised, interactive method of teaching. Early booking is therefore strongly advised.
Delegates are encouraged to bring their own laptops (MacBook or PC) to view cases, which will be provided on USB sticks. If you do not have access to a MacBook or laptop PC we can rent this on your behalf, but please note you will need to incur the additional hire costs.

Educational aims:

• To become familiar with common patterns of diffuse lung disease
• To understand the relationships between radiological patterns and the likely pathological processes
• To develop a systematic approach to HRCT interpretation in diffuse lung diseases
• To become familiar with typical and atypical appearances of specified diffuse lung diseases
The emphasis of the “hands-on” series is not on didactic lecture-based teaching. Instead, the course is designed to provide delegates with “hands-on” experience of reviewing cases with experts in the field.
