GIANT Health has officially launched the Innovative Medical Research Programme as part of the GIANT Health Event 2021 held on November 30 - December 1, 2021. The programme is an inaugural event in the annual conference dedicated to promoting innovative research and the people behind them in the field of medical technology.
Professor Shafi Ahmed, the noted futurist and multi-award-winning cancer surgeon working at The Royal London Hospital, will give the welcoming address at the event.
Professor Ahmed said, “For more than 18 months since the start of the pandemic, there has been a decreasing number of opportunities for people to present their work through gatherings, conferences and exhibitions. GIANT Health is aiming to lead the way to help reopen society. We aim to celebrate the incredible work carried out by healthcare workers, students and academics across Europe and beyond.”
GIANT Health decided to launch the new programme because it fits with GIANT Health’s mission to improve the health and well-being of people around the world by promoting healthcare innovation. Barry Shrier, GIANT Health founder, said, “The GIANT Health Event 2021 is the ideal opportunity for academics and students of leading institutions to present the amazing research they have been doing over the last few years and their careers. They will be able to network with leaders of the medical technology industry, as well as a wide variety of healthcare companies.”
Pooria Namdari, Sales Manager of GIANT Health Events, said, “The new programme in our annual event will expand our current audience mainly based on healthcare leaders and companies to a larger audience, including academics as well as students from medical and engineering backgrounds. We’re delighted to welcome students and academics to our event.”
Won Young Yoon, Marketing Associate at GIANT Health and Organiser of the Conference, said, “We are proud to be one of the few international conferences to be focused on Medical Technology. Through the inaugural conference, we hope to increase our engagement with academics worldwide and help students be more actively engaged with Global Innovation and New Technology. We look forward to connecting with some of the great HealthTech speakers and businesses attending.”
