Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a premier private equity firm investing in middle-market growth companies announced the appointment of Paul Black as a consultant for the firm’s healthcare investment group. Black, who brings more than 25 years of experience leading companies in healthcare information technology (“Healthcare IT”), will support the team’s efforts in identifying, sourcing, and growing investment opportunities across the healthcare market.

In this role, Black will support the healthcare group in deal sourcing, due diligence for potential investments, and developing new relationships with founders and management teams across the healthcare landscape. He will also serve as an advisor to portfolio companies to support their growth.

Prior to joining THL, Black served 10 years as a Director and CEO of Allscripts, a global leader in healthcare information technology solutions. Before that, he was the COO of Cerner Corporation for more than a decade. Black is currently a director of HealthEquity, Community CareLink, The Advancement Board University of Kansas Health System and The Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum.
