The International Hospital Federation (IHF) has opened Early Bird registration for the 48th World Hospital Congress. With the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG) and the Canton serving as host, this global event will take place from 10 to 13 November 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Registration is now open for the 48th IHF World Hospital Congress, taking place on 10–13 November at the International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG), Switzerland. Discounted rates for Early Bird registration are now on offer and will be available for bookings until 15 August.
In collaboration with the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG), the IHF World Hospital Congress is being organized in Geneva for the first time in its history in 2025. Following the success of the 2024 edition (which took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), participation at this year’s event is expected to attract around 1500 attendees from over 80 countries and territories.
The IHF World Hospital Congress connects healthcare leaders and executives from around the world to share best practice and innovation in service delivery to improve health outcomes worldwide. The Congress is the flagship event of the IHF, whose mission is to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and enhancement of leadership competencies to strengthen hospital administration and quality of care, as well as to reduce the impact on the environment.
Marking the opening of registration, Dr Muna A. Tahlak, President of the IHF, and CEO of Latifa Women and Children Hospital and Chief Medical Officer of the Dubai Academic Health Corporation said:

Complementing a rigorous scientific programme, this year’s Congress will include activities showcasing healthcare innovations at the i-to-i Innovation Hub, as well as masterclasses and workshops with the Geneva Sustainability Centre to support healthcare leaders to build resilience through advancing sustainability. A special IHF Awards Gala event on 12 November will mark the 10th anniversary of the Awards programme, celebrating a decade of recognizing excellence in hospital and healthcare leadership. Extending the learning in the main scientific sessions, visits to hospitals and a selection of international institutions on 10 and 14 November are also available for participants of the Congress to book.
