Some 12,000 professionals convened in Paris from May 25 - 28 for the EuroPCR congress, the leading cardiovascular course. EuroPCR contributes to the promotion of education and information on existing and developing techniques in interventional cardiology. The objective of this annual course is to inform practitioners of the latest technological developments and offer practical tips and tricks that help surgeons and cardiologists make the right ethical choices for each individual patient.

Delegates from Europe and other continents shared their experiences and compared approaches and practices from their respective countries. The congress represented an exciting opportunity for those involved in the cardiovascular field to discuss the challenges encountered, potential solutions and consider the future, with a view to translating the latest scientific research into clinical practice.

The EuroPCR programme was divided in three sections:

- Coronary and structural heart disease programme;

- Endovascular/peripheral programme, and

- Nurse and technician programme.

The next years’ editions will be held as follows:

EuroPCR 2011: 17 - 20 May

EuroPCR 2012: 15 - 18 May
