Job Description

Responsible for accurate and timely assignment of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCs codes as appropriate to assure compliance with all state and federal rules/regulations and ethical standards as established by AHIMA. Understands and assists with functions within the Health Information Department in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws/regulations, accreditation agency standards, and GRH rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Two (2) years experience in facility coding preferred

Computer Experience Required

Meditech experience preferred

3M Encoder Experience Preferred

High School diploma or GED required

HIM degree from accredited college preferred or RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC-
