SNAP Diagnostics is a private medical device and service company dedicated to improving the diagnosis of sleep-related breathing disorders. Public and professional awareness of the prevalence and potential serious consequences of snoring and sleep apnea is growing rapidly. Medical experts project that over 50 million American adults snore habitually. In addition, approximately 5-10% of the adult population suffers from sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is under-diagnosed because the standard method of diagnosis requires an overnight hospital stay which can be costly, inconvenient, and uncomfortable for patients. Recognizing the need to improve diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders, SNAP Diagnostics was founded in March, 1994. We are dedicated to developing, manufacturing and marketing products to aid in the diagnosis, analysis and management of respiratory disorders with an initial focus on obstructive sleep apnea and snoring outside the traditional hospital setting. After receiving FDA clearance of the SNAP Sleep Apnea and Snoring Analysis System in 1995, SNAP began marketing in 1996 and today is considered the leader in the development of technology for the detection of sleep apnea and the analysis of snoring patterns. We perform more diagnostic tests in a month than the average traditional sleep laboratory performs in a year.
